I love staying here

Beautiful boutique-y hotel very walkable to Waikiki beach & shopping, but not in the fray. Staff at Shoreline are so friendly and I love the design. I stayed here for the first time on a whim 3 years ago and keep coming back despite the many other hotel options. Rooftop pool, and the bedroom lanai give you the island breezes but feels more private and less crowded than many other hotels. Private, off-street parking is available for extra $/night. Some noise from the street at night, unavoidable in Waikiki so close to the festivities and nightlife. Some street noise and construction during the day, but I am not a stay in the hotel during the day girl, so it's not a problem. I have only traveled solo, but I have seen larger groups and families in the elevators and the lobby, so it must be a good hotel for those kinds of trips also.

Cute but old and tired

Hotel was just okay. At least the beds were very clean. Carpet was old and I wouldn’t put my bare feet on it. Overall not a great recommendation.

Repeat Customer

The staff here is always helpful and full of kindness. I keep returning every time I come back to Oahu for years now. It is clean and comfortable. You even get a credit for the cafe downstairs.

Things to consider when booking Shoreline

We stayed here 2/24-2/28 and while it was not horrible, here is what you might want to consider when booking this hotel. Pros: Friendly staff, across the street from a Ross, very close to International Market Place which has a ton of food options shaved ice and shopping, has an attached small restaurant called Heavenly that is delicious and they give you $5 vouchers for each day you are there. If nothing else you can pop in and use on a guava juice or açaí bowl and they do provide beach towels, 5 min walk to waikiki beach. Con’s: They are doing construction and the jackhammering starts at 9 am, the pool is very small, the parking is atrocious and right now they have NO SELF PARKING but that’s not something they tell you. You will be forced to do valet parking which does have in and out privileges but is an added cost per day and if you have an suv or truck it will be $60 per night to park. The room is bare bones, no microwave but there is a small fridge. There are no drawers, just two small ones on the nightstands and there is zero counter space in the bathroom. It’s also a very small bathroom. We come to Oahu frequently, so it was ok that this was not our most comfortable stay but This shouldn’t be anyone’s 1st experience and I’m sorry to say that :( If things like this don’t bother you then there’s nothing majorly wrong but if a little extra comfort is important to you then consider spending a little more & staying elsewhere.

2/10 Poor

Lots of noise

If you are going to be Jackhamnering the concrete floors 10 ft away from the chek in desk and have loud construction noise from 8am to 5pm you should disclose it ahead of time to your customers if you care about them. Obviously this hotel prefers not to disclose that much. I wont stay there again

Colorful but not fancy

Cool looking ‘boutique’ hotel, but like everything else in this price range around Waikiki, there’s nothing super comforting or fancy about it. It’s a nice conversion from an old hotel, but not nice enough where you want to spend any considerable time in the room. We used this to our advantage to stay out of the room and explore the area. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful. There is a resort fee and parking fee to be aware of. The place is colorful and since the price was decent, I’d consider it again :-)
