When I checked in the hotel had been overbooked. Me and another man (not with me) were having to almost argue who would get a room and who would be downgraded etc, it was not good service from the chain. Staff were helpful and did try to help but you could see they were scrambling. Room was ok. Curtains were hanging off and needed to be wedged behind chair to ensure they stayed closed. Tea tray was really poor with little on it. My colleague checked in the next day and was sitting in reception when a man came down to say his key didnt work for his room but he had tried it on other doors and it had opened room number *** which was my colleagues room. Not good. Location was great, right on tram stop, room was ok, shower was good, breakfast was no problem for being part of the price. Overall would stay here again if there were no other options but I would not choose this one first.

Can’t fault the room or the staff attitude. Good location for jewellery quarter. Breakfast was just a bit busy and tables were not cleared as quickly as needed. Kept running out of milk for coffee and no one around to ask. It was a busy weekend but think this could have been better prepared for. Would have been a 5 star otherwise. Would go there again though.

This was the second time that I have stayed at this hotel and it was just as good as the first time. Staff are friendly, helpful and diligent. The room has everything that you need and more without it being cramp. The gym is a bonus and breakfast is lovely. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Birmingham
