The commotion in the dead of night

During the night of May 2nd, 2025, loud and frightening noises of people created a disturbing situation. The electric door lock was easily accessible, and the lack of visible surveillance cameras made me hesitant to leave valuables in the room. Additionally, the sanitation fee did not seem justified by the quality of service.

Good loacatiom, decent prices, very clean

Located in the centre of Toronto, in a walking distance to pretty much all places in the city highlights. Decently priced compared to other places, and it looked it it was recently renovated. It was clean, had a clean bathroom, and didnt have weird smell. One of the beds was rock hard, which should be replaced, and the room didnt have any kitchen appliances such as a fridge or microwave. However overall, I think we would stay again for its convenient location, decent priceses, and cleaness.

Shady Company

This place is shady, when I got there, the lady tries to put me in a completely different location then what I booked, she then tries to put me in a completely different room then I booked, they do not give you fresh towels every night like all hotels, you have to try to find someone, they then try to take a photo of one of your ID’s which is suspicious, they then try to get different unsecured apps for you to pay. And they worst, I went to grab a bite to eat forgot my key inside my room, was then bullied and was not going to be helped unless I paid $20 to open it ! What kind of customer service is that !

I am Loyal but they need to CLEAN BETTER

I am loyal to this hostel. It is an extremely convenient location and has the cheapest rooms you can find within the entire GTA! There is also a private bathroom, a fan, a table, a chair, and a mini fridge!!! Unfortunately, the sheets had a massive stain and the washroom had long hairs on the floor. Whoever cleaned the morning of March 28th obviously was very lazy!!! I am unimpressed and have provided photos!

Washroom floor. I do not have hair. I am bald and maintain myself. This is likely a woman’s hair!

Reno review

I was given the opportunity to upgrade to a larger room with a private bathroom for a small charge and took the offer. This was handled on the spot and a few minutes later had a renovated second floor room. This also has the new bathroom fixtures with the great shower. The only thing I would add is a couple of shelves for various items. There is a place to hang coats and hats.

2/10 Poor

The worst place

My experience at this place was awful. The staff handling reservations was poorly informed. I arrived with receipts in hand, showing my reservation, but was told I wasn’t in their system and was instructed to contact Hotels.com. I was left waiting outside in the cold for 35 minutes with no response. The man who assists the owner was incredibly rude. My son and I ended up leaving and booking a room at a different hotel, which turned out to be a much better choice. I will never be booking here again.

New and improved.

I thought this jewel had vanished as there were few listings for rooms. It turns out the building is under renovation. The room I rented has new tile and electrial recepticles and switch. The bathroom has a new modern shower which worked wonderfully. The bed is the same original one which I like. Not all rooms have microwave ovens or refrigerators so one would need to request that. I didn't need those. All said, a pleasant stay !

Not bad

The man working last night took a long time to let me in, and was very dismissive. The cleaning lady in the morning also had a very strong Chinese accent, and so I had to continually ask her to repeat what she said. It was very clean and quiet, towels included!

The property is old and the padlocks need to be changed. The key doesn’t usually work well with the door. I had problems opening it. Some of the blankets doesn’t smell good. On the good side, the room is clean and I have my own bathroom which is convenient. Overall, the place was okay.

Night on the town

Another weekend at the music venues. I had a basement room so sleeping in is easy and there are two bathrooms on the floor so no problem sharing ! A warm shower and I'm ready for my ( 6am !) job downtown !
