Improvement of principles needed

The property was okay but you can quickly tell the property is not being maintained like it should and will quickly deteriorate. The customer service was also poor. I arrived at 2pm and there was a woman checking in in front of me and I herd the manager tell her that check in was at 4pm but he had a couple rooms and he would be able to check her in if she paid a $25 fee. She was obviously irritated but reluctantly agreed to pay the fee. Then it was my turn and conveniently he had the same couple of rooms available if I was willing to pay the fee. The exact type of room that I booked just happened to be available if I was willing to pay the fee. I just feel the integrity of this hotel is not what it needs to be and I will not be staying there again.

Room was great with a suite look. However there was a used soap still sitting in the bathroom soap dish. The immediate area was pretty sketchy-looking. The only restaurants were fast food places and we looked for blocks along E. Prien.

Great Staff…clean rooms… and great breakfast which

Checkin was very efficient… I was very sick and staying there before my procedure today. They brought me extra everything.. being sick and messy bathroom I left whoever cleans the room $10. Not a lot but does show my appreciation.

Outlets didn’t work in room, mini fridge was actually a freezer, causing food and drinks to freeze and cans to explode. Breakfast was awful, wet sausages and watery eggs, rubbery waffles. Hotel does not have daily housekeeping. Only given 2 towels at a time. Incredibly thin walls, heard every door open and close and conversations through the wall. Front desk checked me in under a different reservation, charged a different reservation amount. I was told that only a manager can refund and there was no manager on property. Overall a very disappointing stay and I would not recommend customers stay here either.

My family and I checked in on a Friday night. The air conditioner was not working in the room. I called the front desk to ask the lady who check if someone could come and check the air. We waited 20 minutes, no one ever came. I called back to the front desk and the lady said she was checking people in and could come as soon as she had a break. We waited 2 hours for someone to come. No one came, I asked if we could switch to another room. She stated there were no other rooms available. I asked for a refund she said she couldn’t give a refund. She called her manager who refused to speak to me on the phone and said he wouldn’t be able to give a refund until the next day. The lady at the front desk said a room would be available the next day and they could move us or have someone look at the air. We stayed only because there weren’t any other available hotels in Lake Charles due to a large Volleyball Tournament, which we were also in town for. We were never moved to another room, no one ever called or came to fix the air the next day. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! No one wants to travel and have to experience the things that we experience staying at Best Western. I finally got to speak to the manager 3 days after we checked out! He was rude, unapologetic, and offered a free upgrade on our next stay! I would NEVER stay at that hotel again! Save yourself the this trouble and hassle, choose a better hotel.
