Place is good with proximity to tourist sites, and central location for restaurants options. Host is wonderful and helpful. Just didn’t realise the kitchen was self service. But in all a good place and I wouldn’t mind returning if I’m in Rome again.

Highly recommended, the room is clean and tidy, kitchen is restocked for breakfast and snacks. Barbara (the owner) is amazing and communicative. Great place to stay near Ostiense station

Clean and comfortable room. Fabulous small communal kitchen area with fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. Very pleased with the generous breakfast supplies of teas, milk, breads, ham and cheese. Barbara sent us very helpful details by WhatsApp about how to get into the property when it became apparent we would be late because of flight delays. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet her but managed to organise payment after discussions on WhatsApp. Definitely recommend as a good place to stay

I stayed at Residenza Matteucci for two nights and it was perfect! Barbara met us at arrival and showed us our room and everything we needed. She was great and helped us get settled. The location was amazing - tons of buses and a short walk to the metro station. I highly recommend staying here.

Near transportation

This was an apartment that had rooms. Host was great and she offers a lot of snacks. It was a great value so give it a 4.5 out of 5.0 The A/C was loud. For me it was white noise and helped me sleep but my husband could not sleep. Great snacks were offered which are expected and don't need to be included. The area was near bus, metro and train so this part was great!

We stayed 3 nights, it was convenient to Ostiense train station from the airport and Piramide metro station for sightseeing. The room has everything with a freshly renovated bathroom. Traffic noise is noticeable, even with the double glazed windows but we survived that! Breakfast is supplied, but some fresh fruit would be an improvement, we bought our own from a little shop near Piramide. Definitely recommend staying here, we would like to return one day. Thank you!

A wonderful boutique hotel that have very few rooms, which makes it feel more like an apartment stay than a hotel. The furnishings are nice and the bathroom is modern albeit small for a large person. The kitchen set-up is self-service and it is stocked with a variety of breads, cakes, cereal and hot drink items. But the main selling point of this hotel is Barbara, the manager. She is the heart and soul of this hotel; her kind and caring attitude make you want to come back. She is very helpful and even though we showed up to the hotel at 1:00am, she opened the doors with opened arms and a sweet smile. She was there to help you navigate Rome and her recommendations were spot on. If you are looking for a home type atmosphere, then this is the place for you.

One night in Rome prior to cruise

We stayed for one night prior to embarking on a cruise. Property is well placed for transport links to and from both the airport (FCO) and the cruise terminal. Train station Roma Ostiense is a 5 min walk away and will take you to both of the above locations. If arriving at Ostiense station to go to the property, exit the station at the side of the higher numbered platforms. The property is straight down the road that you exit into and can be found on the right hand side, about 15m back from.the traffic lights at the bottom of the road. It is the door which has lots of buzzers to the right of the door.
