Stone throw from Spanish Steps
Absolutely loved staying at Spagna Secret Rooms on my recent trip to Rome in June. Staying here made me feel like I was living like a local, waking up in the morning and opening the shudders to see the street below and popping out onto the street vs. getting off the lift in a crowded lobby. You get to know the store owners and staff - it's great experience. While I was definitely on vacation, it was also great to able be a stone throw from touristy stops like Spanish Steps, 10mins walk to Trevi Fountain. Easy to get on the subway (Line A) being a 2 min walk from the Spagna Metro stop, which I took to get to Vatican (Line A, six stops) or transfer to Line B to visit the Coliseum. Also connecting with Termini station to get out to Florence for a day trip (~1.5 hr train ride) and head to Venice for 2 days (~3 hr train ride). (Tickets via italotreno.it) There are TONS of fabulous local restaurants up and down all the streets of Rione III Colonna to grab amazing pasta. This is also the best area to stay if you're looking to get a bit of luxury shopping done. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci etc boutiques are a 2 mins walk - making it easy to bring your purchases back to your hotel room so you don't have to carry them around all day. There is also a great lux mall Centro Commerciale Porta di Roma about a 5 mins walk that is open until 11pm with Louis Vuitton, Celine, Gucci all the brands (except Chanel) if you'd like one VAT receipt to sort out at the airport.

Great location
Lovely small rooms in a fabulous location. Service was good. Room was clean and comfortable- just a little tired in places (walls could do with re painting etc) A perfect location for exploring Rome.

Beautiful hotel, great location, helpful manager
We loved our stay here! The manager was so helpful when sorting out our booking prior due to a credit card issue and then on advice on what to do while there. The hotel itself was very nicely decorated and clean. It was like being in a boutique hotel without the cost, which was also so reasonable. It was so central and we loved having Pastificio and Pompi on our street as well as being easy for the metro. We had an issue with the safe which could not be resolved straight away as there is no 24 hour reception, but the manager was helpful and ensured that this was sorted as soon as possible. Would definitely stay here again.

Spagna SR - Perfect Location and accommodations
I would definitely recommend Spagna Secret Rooms. Marco contacted us the day before to inquire about our arrival time, to make sure we were accommodated. We were driving from the Venice area, into Rome where we needed to return our car, so we were unsure of our exact arrival time. Marco was so nice about it, stayed in contact with us throughout the day, and helped us when we arrived. He was able to direct us to areas that would be nice to visit in the evening (Trevi Fountain) and directed us to an eating establishment near the room. The rooms were very nice, clean, inviting, with a little eat-in area just outside the rooms, which we utilized a few times. The location is PERFECT; walking distance to most of the major historical sites, and just a block from the metro, which was perfect to catch to any other sites (Vatican) and the train station. The only drawback for us; their was a lack of really good authentic food in the area, it was food that was adapted for the "tourist" pallet. Although, Venchi is a candy and gelato store only a few doors down, and it is AMAZING gelato! There was also a Tiramisu bakery across the street that was really good! Would Highly recommend staying at Spagna Secret Rooms, perfect accommodations, especially if you are only staying in the area or Rome for a few days!!

Excellent location, friendly staff!
Location is fantastic! Within walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Parthenon and even the fantastic area of Trastevere which is about a 25 min walk. Very close to a metro station too. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Good 6.0
Convenient location. Just minutes away from the Spanish Steps and metro station. Walking distance to other tourist spots. There was no shower door and water would go all over the bathroom. There was also a window from the room looking into the shower so there was no privacy either. There was always someone at the reception desk which was helpful.
