Mar 17, 2026This 115 year old ryokan was absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautiful and very clean. The staff were so kind and welcoming, ensuring that everything I needed was taken care of. If you are visiting a don’t speak Japanese fluently, they speak English as well. The breakfast was absolutely amazing too! I cannot stress how much I recommend staying here. I personally loved the “chrysanthemum room” (Kiku) since I was directly in front of the garden.

The Take room was great and I loved the garden view. I recommend this location to anyone who is interested in experiencing a ryokan in Kyoto!
