Bakersfield has a number of fun attractions to visit. We like to thrift and the antique/vintage shops are excellent to browse thru. Good number of very different restaurants from fast food to sit down at very affordable prices.

Beautiful zoo, but a lot of animals were sleeping when we arrived. If you want a taste of exotism without having to travel there are lots of Mexican restaurants to choose from. Sadly, like a lots of cities, lots of homeless & hookers

Bakersfield is a great city with much to offer. Much bigger than I previously thought with all the amenities of a major city. I might come back and stay a week next time.
