My visit was in February and best thing for me about Tybee were the divey bars/restaurants and the very bike friendly streets. The homes out there are beautiful and it's an adventure just cruising and checking them out.

I felt like it needed a heavy rain to wash the downtown area clean - sidewalks were sticky and dirty - felt like every shop had the same cheap junk items made in China for sale. In other words, like every other tourist trap I have ever visited.

Tybee Island is a tiny key west type. We were there as first timers to see the fireworks on pier. I could not image how busy & traffic is during the summers with only one way in & out.

Tybee is a nice and quiet place to visit this time of year. It wasn't overly crowded. There were plenty of good local restaurants too. We love Tybee Island anytime of the year!

Love Tybee Island. I just hate to see it growing. I like it for its privacy and isolation. It seems to be rapidly becoming more popular for tourists.

I've been going to Tybee island since 1982. I'm just glad to be around long enough to watch It grow like it has. Way to go 1996 Summer Olympics funding 😀
"This isn't an oceanside resort, it's a clean and affordable getaway with a pool, beach chairs for rent, and a walk right across the street to the sea. I'd come back. Free parking!"
"Owner and staff were very attentive and prepared a wonderful breakfast each day, along with afternoon snacks and plenty of other goodies. The location was also convenient to the beach and walkable to some attractions and restaurants "
