We will be booking in again for sure!
Never been to Washington, so the hotel base needed to be just right. Down to earth very professional staff who you could tell wanted the best for you and your stay. Nothing was too much trouble as well as a genuine smile and greeting on entry and exiting the hotel. Clean rooms, a nice freshen up of the room each day. Next door to good metro links around the whole city or just a 20 minute walk to the main shopping area. On tap excellent free tea and coffee station on the 2nd floor for all guests. Things that could have been better - Hard to get Aircon balanced, drafty windows (I did pick up a cold I still have 10 days on), 1am/2am turning out time of the Irish bar below as they do like a shout at the top of their voices. But it didn't matter, because everything else was so just right (and we had our first evening in the Irish Bar and it was Great!) We hope to go back to Washington as it was better than anticipated. We will be coming straight back to this hotel no questions asked. Thanks for a lovely stay Phoenix Park! To Do - Ecart Tour of the Mall area - Fantastic Knowledge over a big stretch of area to give you a taser for revisiting in more detail if you want it! Georgetown - Very Relaxed over there A smooth metro system that works very well! Use teh Smart Trip App - EASY! Washington - Very Clean and not congested.

Perfection
I’ve loved the The Phoenix for decades but hadn’t been there in 10 years since I’d moved out of the area. I was delighted by the refresh - decor is lovely, beds were wonderful and really loved the 2nd floor coffee/tea lounge. Perfection — Can’t wait to return.

Family trip
The room was comfortable and spacious. It was located close to public transit and quick walk to the mall. We liked the coffee lounge and having a restaurant in the building. The downside was the walls were very thin and we could hear the people talking next door and it was hard to sleep until they stopped.

10/10 Exceptional

Hotel itself and room were very nice and clean. The service was exceptionally great, from the front desk to the restaurant located inside (the food was pretty good as well). The only negative was the inside parking was extremely expensive, but to be honest, pretty normal for D.C.. We made the decision to use the garage around the corner that was a fraction of the cost and the walk was negligible. An overall great stay.

Good hotel close to transport hub
Good quality hotel. Convenient to DC and transportation. Area around the hotel is a bit sketch because it is so close to Union Station. But overall it was fine.
