Great location and clean
Old hotel in an old building .. everything is old including the room but is comfortable and clean .. and for downtown this hotel is pretty quiet. The location is 5 stars and the price is great. I would come stay again for sure but change to a different room if I can ( the one that facing to the street)

Location, location, location
I love the ambiance and location. It was a perfect spot to enjoy downtown Victoria. The room was small, the beds comfortable and it was clean but a bit dated. The bathroom shower faucet was difficult to work.

Great location
Room had a lot of character. Pretty sure we booked a queen bed but we're given a double. Bed was not very comfortable, I was glad to get back to my own. Location was incredible.

The hotel definitely leaves a lot to be desired. Old carpets on the floor have stains and have not been more than vacuumed since the building was built. Definitely not a place to kick your shoes off and go barefoot. Dents and peeling paint are everywhere. It's right downtown which is awesome, but the dinginess of the hotel needs an update. Clean sheets and room otherwise.

2/10 Poor

Toilet was broken in the room after the first flush. Tried to upgrade us to a room with a black stain on the bed sheets the size of my palm. Smelled musty. No sink in the bathroom.

A very old hotel in need of renovation. The hotel staff were very helpful and good, the service and cleanliness were good. Location is excellent where you can walk to local sites and restaurants. Parking is $18.00 a day, off site 2 blocks away and is closed at 6 p.m. at night and weekends so you are running back and forth with the hotel key which is inconvenient. We had a room overlooking the courtyard making it quieter than facing the street.

It is an older building but it was clean and welcoming. The parking is a couple blocks away which was a bit different but it was a quick walk back to the room. They have the front door locked after a certain time in the evening which made for an extra safety feature. All around i would definitely stay here again!

The Bedford Regency is a nice little hotel in a prime location. The property was clean and modern, and the staff were all very nice and always helpful. Many of the best sites, attractions, restaurant’s, and the harbour are all within walking distance. The only real negatives that will be obvious when visiting are: The parking situation not typical as it is a few blocks away and it requires a fob to enter that needs to be returned to the hotel right away. That being said it’s a quick walk and the vehicle is safe and secure. Downtown Victoria is best seen on foot so the parking was barely a blip. The hot water takes a noticeable amount of time to reach hot. It gets there though, and so the annoyance is more about the seemingly vast amount of water being wasted before it’s usable for a shower. There was a bar below our room and the noise from it was noticeable only when trying to sleep. We turned the fan on and played some white noise from a phone that distracted from it and slept quite well. Don’t know if the issue is only on the side of the hotel we were on, but this is a problem the hotel could solve with triple paned glass. These were all minor annoyances at best that can be solved with patience and didn’t make us regret staying here as the overall experience was pleasant. I would stay at the Bedford Regency again but maybe request a room facing away from the bar, or maybe higher up. The rest of the issues were barely on the radar being trumped by the fantastic location.

A Boutique Hotel
Very clean. A Boutique hotel. So the furniture is antique (and expectations need be modified). So was the tv. Why was the refrigerator in the middle of the room? No microwave. No desk. Bed provided an excellent sleep. The sheets were very white and clean.

We like to stay here because of the jacuzzi tubs and fireplaaces. It's also near our favourite restaurants and within walking distance to everywhere we want to go.

6/10 Good

Staff are polite and friendly. Our room layout is odd (3*A) - sink was installed outside of the bathroom right next to a hot plate stove (not even sure why there is one) in a counter across the foot of the bed; no sink in the bathroom. No bathroom vanity; Shower room is too small; hit my elbow on the walls a few times. TV on the right side of the bed; aircon is not efficient too. Room definitely needs renovation. Our room door is adjacent to the doors of 2 other rooms all within a very small corner, so we can hear when other guests open/close their doors. Wifi signal is weak; Parking is offsite, one block away from the property. Location is great for those spending a day or two downtown.
