Disappointed
The hotel has been recently renovated. The restaurant had good food and beautiful ambience. Our room, however, was not very clean. It was also very small. The complementary breakfast was not good and the coffee was cold.

Great place to stay
Newly renovated and clean. Staff was amazing. Restaurant was closed, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. Continental breakfast was great as well, you could tell it was made from scratch.

Noisy
Our room was outside entrance by parking lot. It was very loud we were woke up at 4am with car alarm. The pillows were to big so bring your own. We didnt have a rack to put a suitcase on.

Fun update of a classic hotel in Lamar. The central courtyard & pool area is filled with plants and beautifully lit at night. Included breakfast is hearty and tasty. Beds are great and the room was comfortable. Some minor issues with the property condition (tub didn’t drain unless stopper was completely removed, unpainted drywall repairs in the room, security door lock didn’t work properly) but overall a really interesting and relaxing place to stay.

I would stay again.
This was a stop pn our way home from a trip to Colorado. It is an older hotel but you can tell they have updated. The front desk clerks were nice and helpful.
I did find some cobwebs between the table and bed when i went to turn on the lamp. Everything else was clean.
The bed was comfortable and water was hot. The sheets did not want to stay on the corners of the mattress. I believe the water is softer than we have at home because it took forever to get hair rinsed.
The breakfast was the typical hotel food of eggs, biscuits, and sausage. There was a cinnamon type bread casserole. Juice, milk and cereal were provided as well.

This has been recently renovated. Everything was very new. The only thing i would add is to update the door seals on the outside rooms. It was raining during my stay so some random bugs were able to make there way into the room.

The stay was great. Restaurant had very good food. I was upgraded to a suite at no cost. My only criticism would be there was no closet or rack to hang my clothes on, no iron/ironing board. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel staff was great, breakfast was ok. The guests upstairs were rambunctious and loud very late. Hotel staff took care of the situation, but unfortunately we did not leave well rested!

Weekend trip
The gentleman working over night was really great. When i got up in the middle of the night he was very kind. He actually spoke to me, not just looking up saying hi and looking back down. This is what usually happens. The building was absolutely beautiful. Breakfeast was really great. Needs an elevator. Overall fantastic. Definitely will say again.

We had a comfortable room. There was a fridge and microwave. Bed was spacious and comfortable. It would be better if there were nightstands on both sides of the king bed. Breakfast was fine, but not as special as the advertising made it seem it would be.

The room we had was large and comfortable, very comfortable bed. You can tell the owners went to great lengths to add the extra features and details for comfort (rain head and body jets in the large shower and the claw foot tub)! We will stay again. They are a pet friendly hotel which was a huge bonus for us but there is no dedicated area to walk your pet, hopefully they will consider adding this in the future for convenience.

They could spend an additional ten cents and provide soap that could be used twice
