Unsafe and needs engineer inspection
We arrived the afternoon of the earthquake and nearby Myanmar. Along with all other people, we stayed on the street and waited for the hotel to be inspected.
Upon the all clear we checked in and received none of our welcome gifts but understandable under the situation
We had paid for the Club lounge which did not open that night and was not offered any compensation.
Upon checking out after our three nights stay we were handed a bill of AU$250 for four drinks which we had. When I explained that there were parts of our stay that had been overlooked and asked for perhaps a discount considering we had not had access to the Club lounge and nor did we receive any of our check in benefits, I was told there was nothing they would do or could do. I feel that everyone suffered but the hotel profited and used the situation to their advantage. Very disappointed.
I have now seen photographs of the premises and in my opinion was unsafe and it should not have reopened after the earthquake.
