Door locks not to be desired
Barbara and Martha were fabulous attentive and friendly. The room 315 needed a better lock. We had to lock ourselves in with a key at night. I feel like if there was an emergency in the middle of the night finding the key could result in getting out of the room slowly. The door itself was about an inch too short for the doorway leaving a gap above and below the door. Being in the guesthouse was down the street and into what they called a lane ( I called an alley) to get in the door.

Unique hotel with rooms in several renovated historic houses - nice tavern. Patrick is a wealth of information. Must try B Matthews for breakfast / brunch and Sorry Charlie's Oyster Bar for happy hour/dinner.

The tub in our room was amazing post marathon, beautiful and historic, didn't experience any paranormal activity. Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant due to people “camping” at tables. I was to tired to wait any longer after waiting for 15 minutes but the staff was great and very apologetic.

Grumpy is the BEST! The staff were all friendly and helpful. (Ask about their experience stories.) The bedroom set and decor were beautiful in room 305. We had some interesting (read: haunted) experinces there, too. We both woke from strange dreams at exactly the same time. A friends, daughters borrowed EMT showed strong readings in the bed where my wife was. She asked for no more nightmares and that was the last we had. The only thing that interrupted our sleep after that was...the mattress. We also had full strength readings just inside the shower near the sink. The food in the dining room is delicious! And we had another experience. A child ghost that remains in the dining area that used to be the kitchen moved only the shiny penny of three placed at the corner of the table. Pretty cool! We were within walking distance to so many areas of interest that we did not use any transport other than feet and thw hop on hop off bus with a stop a block from the Inn. We never got vack to hear Barbaras story. Guess we will have to come back.
