"My husband and I just returned from an 7-day stay at the Accra, and we both thought it was a 3 star hotel on a 5 star beach. The good: —Location: convenient to so much —The beach: lovely —Cleanliness: the hotel is clean —Concierge/security desk was helpful and friendly The bad: —Our shower didn’t work properly (water trickled out). It took 4 days of going to the front desk to ask someone to look at it in the morning, then asking if someone had looked at it in the afternoon, before we were offered a different room with a working shower. —Related, some of the front desk staff was defensive and rude one of those times. Just short of accusing me of lying (literally said “we have video.” Of my shower working? Just a super weird thing to say when I was trying to be as pleasant as possible dealing with this exasperating issue). —the hotel is old and could use updating (see shower above). In our new room, some of the outlets did not work, and one was installed in a way that you couldn’t plug anything in. —The walls are thin. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing (including snoring). Overall, I would caution against staying here. It presents nicely, but the reality is 4-stars is very generous. I would not return. "

"We were in an oceanfront room, it looks like they are trying update this hotel but there are some issues with seals on windows, doors and bathrooms need to be really deep cleaned. Staff tried very hard and were friendly and quick to respond when need be. "

"A lovely small hotel, located at the end of the gap. There is beach access from the hotel. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is good. Happy hour 12 to 1pm and 5pm to 6pm each day. Accomodation is split into 3 buildings but dont feel isolated. "
