We called in advance to find out if there was a conference room or if we could check in 90 mins early because we had an online meeting. We were told we needed to call back that morning to find out, and there would be a $25 charge. We called in the early morning, but our room type was not yet available/ cleaned and we needed to call back again to find out if it would be. While the charge is minimal, it's the first time a hotel has charged for early check-in (it is always a courtesy at other properties if the room is available) and it does nothing to earn that charge, such as prioritize the cleaning in order to guarantee the room will be available. The room numbers are completely out of order and we needed a map to find our room, but our food delivery person couldn't find it because the signs were wrong - how hard would it be to fix the numbering system to make it intuitive? The room had a bit of a yuck factor because the bed cover wasn't a washable duvet cover and the upholstered sofa had damp armrests and looked like it needed to be put out on the curb. The towels were minimal and small. We could hear people in the parking lot and walking overhead, but no neighbors. The waffle maker at breakfast was sticking and we saw nobody working there to fix the problem.
On the plus side, the sheets and bed were incredibly comfortable - it had great support all the way to the edges and didn't slope or have indentations. Convenient location with good places nearby for food.
