Great hotel
The staff at the hotel were friendly. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and had a wonderful view from the window. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a overnight stay in London.

2/10 Poor

Stay someplace if you can
Room is in very bad shape without any maintenance, bathroom is very finicky and water won’t shut off properly and leaked all throughtout our stay. Sink & shower is also leaking. Floor is creaking like you will fall through it. For the amount of pounds I paid, it’s not worth it. However, the front desk Almash, is pretty much the only good thing about the hotel. He’s friendly and very helpful.

Budget priced accomodation in posh area
Nice room. No amenities or telly at all. Nighttime gentleman very helpful with our bags. If you want an afforable room in a posh part of London, this would meet your needs. Handy for local coffee shops.

Room review
Our Stay in the gote was okay.. It was quiet except when there’s someow who uses the toilet from shared bathroom that are not careful in closing doors. Our smal room has a small toilet and bath that literally small and can fit 1 person. The twin bed size was alright except that it’s uncomfortable at my back i can feel the spring/metal bedframe and everytime I move or my Mom moved, either of us will be awake due to the sound of the metal frame bed. There was small table and 2 chairs which are both made from wood, kinda old but it’s okay. The downside is that we can’t even ake our hot frink because there wasn’t any electric kettle to use and even a cup. But overall it served my purpose of being near to my exam site and train station and a ot of restaurants nearby.

2/10 Poor

Old and dirty
The room is in the basement and no sort of ventilation, dirty, old smelly carpet and the room is just so disgusting- chipped wall paint and looks like the whole room just needs a proper refurbishment, wont come back again definitely!!

Smells of smoke
The rooms and the corridors stink of smoke. There has actually been a smoking ban in the UK since July 2006, did you not get the memo?

2/10 Poor

It should probably be condemned
This is absolutely not a suitable place to still be open as a hotel. Genuinely not sure how anyone, anywhere could ever give this more than 1 star, and I'm really only doing that in order to be able to leave this review. If I save one single person from ever booking this place then it will have been worth the typing. You may read things like "The location is great!". Yes, so is sleeping on the street. It's astonishing that a place in this poor condition is allowed to remain open. My room was in the basement, with a single shared toilet/bathroom between at least 8 rooms (Maybe more, I didn't go around and count). That is once you navigated past the mouse traps in the corners, the general decor, the stains on the walls, the door that barely closed properly. I'm not a small bloke and even I didn't feel safe sleeping here. I'm fairly sure this place preys on those in a rush as a measure of absolute last resort, as I was. I needed a place to stay near Kings Cross and for the £100 this cost me I should have just slept on a bench at the station.

Pay for a cheap room in an expensive city and this is what you get. The wash basin leaked straight onto the floor - I reported it and was told 'don't' use it.' Great advice. Room 11 BTW - I expect it's still not fixed. The radiator was on full and no way to turn it down. The window opened an inch for fresh air, so I had the noise from every night worker to enjoy. Not that it mattered, as the army surplus bed was so noisy, the springs squealed so much that it merely added to the cacophony of noise. I was perhaps unlucky to visit whilst the Venerable Order of Late Night Door Slammers was also in town, but I suspect they may be in permanent residence. I wouldn't wash my dog in the shared bathroom (I didn't have my dog, I'm merely trying to impart an idea of how poor the washing facilities were). The staff were OK. Do yourself a favour - either save yourself £30 and stay in a genuine hostel, or spend another £30 and get a nearly decent hotel with your own throne and shower. This is the worst of all compromises. The good? It's only a 15 minute walk to Kings Cross/St Pancreas, and you can go anywhere in the world from there....
