After a long and tiring drive over the mountains and forests from Eureka, we got a very warm and friendly welcome at Quality Inn Chico, and we were very pleased with the facilities in our room, and a big shout out to housekeeping, who had made sure our room was fresh and clean and perfect - a great way to relax after such a drive! Our room backed onto the street behind and I was woken at 5am by a garbage truck emptying the trash, so if you’re a light sleeper you might want to ask if you can have a room elsewhere, but this is not a complaint at all from me, just a recommendation for other potential guests. Overall very pleased we stayed here!

Poney was fantastic! I spoke to him a couple times before my stay and at check in. I couldn't switch to a double, but he was very professional and helpful. There was just one person at the very end. I sent my daughter to the desk to just let them know we were leaving while I loaded the car and the lady (short gray hair, very short height) kept telling her to wait. My daughter said telling the clerk that she had to leave. I finally came to look for her because it was taking so long just to say "we're checking out of room 126." I said, "Hello!" The clerk came out and with an angry scowl, said, "Just one minute." My daughter said I've been waiting. I said, "We don't need help, we just need to tell you we're checking out of room 126." She just responded, "oh. Okay," and then disappeared in the back again. So weird and so discourteous. Maybe she was having a bad day. But everything else was fantastic.We'll stay again. Please consider heating the pool. Thanks.

Worth the stay.
My partner and I had a great stay. The beds were comfortable, but I wish they’d been a little firmer, and there were a couple not so clean things, but the shower was great ( I wish the overhead shower head worked). The ac worked great! The staff was nice and helpful.
