The restaurant was just so so for the price. The apple cider mule was good, but the ribeye steak was exceptionally fatty and the potatoes were raw. The TV also did not work in my room, which I called the front desk about, but no one came to address it. Not a dealbreaker, but annoying. The room, ground, and aesthetic of the lodge was beautiful as always.

Common areas were the highlight of the hotel! Very nice, separate enough to not feel in the middle of things, and always a warm fire to boost your mood. Staff was friendly and rooms very clean and well appointed. The pool was spacious and getting lots of use as it was a holiday weekend.

Beautiful lodge in a beautiful area. Staff was so welcoming. The large fireplace in the atrium was burning when I checked in. People were just hanging out in the lobby area having conversations. Love this little retreat!

Disappointed
Of course it's a wonderful facility. Nice restaurant. Great setting. But why are they putting people in rooms adjacent to a "hospitality lounge" for a conference going on at the hotel? For long stretches after 11pm there were groups of people in the hallway yakking away like they were in a bar, right outside our door. At least that's what is sounded like. I was tempted to call the desk but didn't want to get out of bed and kept thinking, "these people can't possibly KEEP making this racket much longer". In fact, I bet they could hear them at the front desk. Why not use one of the conference rooms for a party room? For $250 a night I was expected all kinds of peace and quiet. Don't let them put you in 304.
