Location was AAA+ and the room itself was nice, modern , clean + nicely decorated. It was the entrance inside, the lobby and reception that made it feel like a budget hotel. The hallway carpet on our floor stained. The person at reception at arrival wasn’t very welcoming, and when we asked if there was more than one towel each he said that when you return one time you will be handed another. Reminded us of jail . Also there were no phones in the room which meant we had to go down any time we had an issue or question. The light on the wall wasn’t working and when we asked for a lightbulb to see if that would fix it we were told we had to wait till the next am when maintenance was in. The blow dry went off very 5 seconds and you’d have to move it a little to get it started again.
There was a nespreso machine but no pods. I get that it is an “Aparthotel” and we would need to buy our own but we weren’t expecting that and would have thought for the price we would have at least a few to start us off and then there could be a note advising that we then needed to buy. Hotel sold them but very pricey (why do you need to make such a profit off your guests for something that all hotels provide for free) The woman at the desk after 10pm one eve was especially unfriendly and irritated when we were trying to understand why they wouldn’t at least start us off with a few pods. She said “there IS Coffee there’s instant! The shower needs instructions for tourists that don’t live in UK
