The Art Inn Seattle is comfortable, conveniently located, and well equipped with the things you need (including a way to make coffee). A very strong plus is the free parking in the alley behind the property. One peculiarity is an unevenness in the rooms. We stayed here one night on the front end of our trip and a second night on the return end. The room given us the first night was small, and only a curtain separated the bathroom/toilet from the bedroom. The second night, we were given a much more spacious room, in that it came with an anteroom between the king bedroom and the bathroom, which this time had a door. The reason for the difference was unclear--perhaps it was just luck of the draw. In the second room, a third person such as a child might have stayed in the anteroom--but it's not clear to me how one would. have known that feature was available. The chief problem with the property was the electronic entry process. prior to arrival, you must complete a 3-part registration process including downloading an app on your phone. An hour before 3 pm, you are sent instructions on how to use the app to enter your room. If you remember to do the 3-part process prior to arrival, entry is fairly easy. However, for us, the app stopped working by 8 am on the morning of the next day. So we had to leave one person in the room, ready to let the other person in and out, as we loaded the car. Key cards are available, but you can get them only by contacting the property manager.
