    Service was wonderful, many thanks to Cherri for upgrading our room for mother's day. The room had an amazing city view, very spacious and comfortable. The toilet however could maybe have better ventilation.

    Rooms are not worth the price

    Overall it was ok. But, the rooms are not what we expected in a "5 star" hotel. The rent per night is not worth for the room size and condition. It is very very mediocre. The tables and furnitures are also very old in the room. I will be very careful next time when choosing the Hotel for stay.

    Property, though dated, was still nice and elegant. Room was HUGE, with a bedroom and a separate "living room", very rare these days. However, equipment in the room needs serious refreshing. Television was old, channels were dated and picture was jerky. TV also couldn't be casted upon. Wifi was broken for almost a day (out of 3) and only fixed after informing help desk a couple of times. When it was up, it was fast and stable. Thankfully it came up so we could put on netflix/disney for the kids. Showers and bath was nice and powerful, no issues there. Lights were a little dim, and some light switches were broken (the night lights especially felt a little wonky and non-functional)

    Requested check in early but I arrived after 3pm since that is the check in time. Queued for 30mins just to check in. Receptionist told me room not ready and waiting time MAX 1hrs. OK, leave my luggage. Come back 1hrs later and was told by another receptionist the room will be ready in 2hrs. Does it sound ridiculous! The hotel should have inform me in advance if the check in time its at 6pm!!! So I don't have to go to the hotel at 3pm to just wait - Its a staycation and I prefer to stay home instead head down to hotel and unable to check in on time!!!! Lastly, I have stayed in Hyatt hotel all over the world but never encounter such bad service and the bed it is super hard to even sit on!!! Would not recommend anyone to stay at Grand Hyatt Singapore.

    Too many small details kill the 5 star experience. From a check in that took an hour (despite being a late check, alone at the counter, and having sent an email about timing), a smelly room, the stains on the uniform of the in-room dining staff, the items missing in the in-room breakfast, the minibar not being refilled and a staff that does not even look at you at check out... I felt more like in a 3 or 4 stars tourist hotel. I guess it is the period of the year...
