Everyone was friendly and helpful
Lovely service, clean, good bed and heat/air. Just details that came up a few times: tables in breakfast area so wobbly that ours caused a spill, so did another next to us; slight bulge in flooring just outside my bathroom hooked on and tore a stocking while I was dressing; showers in both of our rooms were very difficult to set so water stopped surging between ice cold and scalding hot; housekeeping would do a very nice job that indicated extra care but then forget to give me soap or wash clothes. This all sounds like a lot, but all involved in service or in the bar were so concerned with our comfort that I feel bad about being honest—with a bit more attention to a few details this would be FANTASTIC.

Beautiful place, great food, horrible beds
The hotel is lovely, with beautiful art deco touches everywhere. The food is fabulous. And the staff is very attentive. If only the quality of the mattress in our room had the same attention to detail. Sadly, we had trouble sleeping and felt very sore for our entire stay.

Gem in Flatiron/NoMad
This is a lovely hotel with a lot of nice touches. I appreciated the bottle of wine on arrival, the breakfast vouchers and the warm welcome at the front desk and by the manager. The room was very comfortable. There are many outlets for various devices. The bathroom was wonderful and had a much-appreciated heated floor. The hotel also has a subway stop very near by on 28th.

Great value on a lovely property.
Lovely property in a great location which was walkable to most of our sites. The room was actually decent sized by NYC standards and a take-and-go breakfast was provided by a full bakery in the lobby.

We stay at the Evelyn 2+ times a year when our NYC travel calls for midtown accommodations. It’s a perfect boutique spot w an excellent walkable location to the best parts of Flatiron. The staff are friendly, accommodating and beyond professional. Have occasionally tried other places nearby and keep returning as it’s a consummate favorite for us (active couple not looking to spread out too much).

Great Boutique Hotel
So many hotel options in NYC, glad we chose The Evelyn. We stayed over Christmas and the service and amenities were amazing. The free grab and go breakfast was very good as were the cocktails at the hotel lounge, Tusk. We didn't take advantage of the complementary wine hour or walking tours but they are nice perks. Our rooms were beautifully appointed and cozy and the cleaning staff came every day to tidy and replenish towels, etc. I would highly recommend The Evelyn for anyone traveling to NYC and would consider staying here again!
