Daughter gave us a Hotels.com gift card we just used for Harrah's Las Vegas. At 72 years old, I still work full time, we decided to take a well-deserved trip to Vegas. Booked Accessible Valley Tower Deluxe Room, 1 King, Non-Smoking added this message: Looking for the best view, preferably of the strip, in room on high floor for best view. (the tower has 35 floors). Arrived at Harrah's greeted by young lady with an attitude, signed us in and handed the keys 8th floor NO view wheelchair accessible (I assumed it meant accessible to casino) we are not in wheelchairs! I had called Harrah's week prior to make sure it was all set as requested and went over the request for high level with view, the lady on phone assured it was. The young lady signing us in informed us that our booking went through Expedia NEWS TO US, but she did see where I called. Nothing she could do! We asked for manager, after arguing for a while, he said he could put us higher with strip view for $25 more per night. We grumbled but agreed he turned to computer tapped screen and told the girl give them THIS room. We are SURE he knew the view, since he picked exact room on screen! So our 1st trip in YEARS and this is our DELUXE room view! Oh, and the manager informed us Hotels.com AND Expedia use the expensive room pictures online AND DELUXE really isn't a deluxe type room The last picture is off listing on Hotels.com if you look out window, that is the strip and much higher than the 8th floor, So disappointed
