Great location but disappointing shuttle service
The hotel is outdated, but clean and has great location. The staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful. Ashley was very pleasant. However, airport shuttle was very important to us and we waited for the shuttle for over an hour at the airport because somehow, the driver just decided to not stop to pick us up. We had been waiting for over 20mn and was told he was on his way. We were waiting at the red area where we were told to wait at the airport and watched as he just drove right pass us without even slowing down. We called the hotel and they say we will just have to wait for the next one. In all we waited outside in the cold for over an hour at 11pm at night. Because of this, we will not be back here.

Slept COLD
It was cold, 47 degrees that morning. We slept very cold. One thin blanket and sheets. Not even a bed cover. No blankets in closet. Room heat didn’t work properly. We woke up at 1 am cold! After an hour or so of laying there cold I stripped the beds and folded the thin blanket so it was double thick but half sized. Even worse it was a “full” sized blanket, not “queen” It didn’t seem reasonable to call for service at 1 am. It doesn’t matter how much you sweat the details if you fail completely on your primary job. You need to make sure the heaters function properly. It ruined our sleep befor a 28 hour flight to Asia.

It was ok.
We got there at about 2:00 am having arrived the night before our cruise left. We arrived and found 4 others waiting in line to check in. The free shuttle never showed up. Come to find out the hotel was short-staffed with receiving other guest with hotel vouchers from a canceled flight. The man at the desk was very pleasant and applogetic for the wait. He gave us a nicer room to make up for the uber and reduced our hotel bill by the uber cost we had to pay.

Nice Affordable Stay
We stayed for 4 nights while visiting family and overall it was a great hotel. All the staff here is wonderful and super helpful. Each one we talked to was friendly and happy to answer any questions. Some of the room is dated ex stain on lamp shade/wall in our room, not all the outlets worked, and there was a random extension cord coming from behind the nightstand that also didn’t work. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. Breakfast was good with hot items, fruit, yogurt, and cereals. The gym is the same that you see at most places with a few treadmills, bike, and some weights. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice and they told us it’s heated The area the hotel is in is close to restaurants (walkable) and is easy access to the freeway and LAX. We felt safe walking around even at night Sound can travel here so sometimes at night we could hear folks in the halls and slamming doors but it wasn’t awful. Overall we would stay here again for the value and comfort

Fairfield Inn
My stay was terrible. I paid thru the app but the hotel wanted an additional $100 per night security deposit!!! That’s outrageous! A card to cover incidentals is all you need. Not a $400 hold. Second when we were coming back from work they profiled my worker and accused her of not being a guest and demanded she show proof just cause we were dirty from work. This place acts like it is the Beverly Hilton but the rooms are old, the water doesn’t get hot and the staff treat you poorly. We spend $20-$30k on travel every year and I will never stay at this property again. Not worth the headache when there are so many good hotels very close to here.

10/10 Exceptional

Great place
We have stayed here twice. Each time the staff is friendly, rooms are clean, breakfast is good, free shuttle to and from airport with great drivers, close to restaurants and close to airport. I will definitely use them again when in LA.
