Hostess couldn’t process my hotels.com gift card so ultimately it cost me $700 extra. Very disappointing given that is why we splurged for a balcony room. No one seemed to care and / or able to help, We honeymooned at RS NO 10 years ago and wanted to come back so our kids could experience it. The service and staff were stellar, facility showing its age, room needed major updating, pillows were awful, beds need updated.

Overall would stay again.
It was great. Room was great. Concierge was friendly and accomodating. Only downside was in the restrooms on the main lobby floor, were completely obliterated. Every toilet full of poo and clogged. Assuming this was from people the night before at the parade.

credit not processed
when we first checked in,we were told that each of us will get 15$ per day towards food and beverage. So when we went to the restaurant associated with the hotel,they had no idea what we were talking about. So none of us got our 45$ credit which was very disappopinting

Not worth it
I was supposed to receive a daily credit from the report fee, but when I checked out and reviewed my folio, it wasn't listed...despite having made purchases at the hotel bar and restaurant. When I asked about it, the supervisor, who was very annoyed with my inquiry, told me that I did receive the credit, but I just wouldn't see it on the folio. What? She ended up jusr giving me a credit, but couldn't even explain when or where it had been applied. As for the Oyster House, the food was disappointing. Breakfast was okay, but dinner was barely edible—everything came out cold. The crab cakes were clearly frozen, packed with more breading and filler than actual crab. I ordered the trio with gumbo, red beans and rice, and a third dish that was so forgettable I can't even remember it. The red beans and rice were supposed to come with andouille sausage, but all I found was one small coin-sized slice buried in the rice, with a kielbasa on top that they didn’t even bother to cut. The beds were another issue...there was no blanket, just a sheet and a spread. I spent three freezing nights because I couldn’t get the room warm enough. Speaking of the room, it was very average for the thousand I paid for three nights. You're basically just paying to stay on Bourbon Street, and that’s about it.
