Budget Friendly with an Ocean View Hotel
This hotel is a good budget friendly hotel. The location is directly across from the beach. If you are looking for some where that is centrally located this is a perfect location. Our hotel view gave a view of the beach and of Christ the redeemer. The hotel provided a daily cleaning of our room which was amazing. Another perk was that they would wait to clean the room no matter what time of the day it was we left out. I thought that was great because some times you don’t want to leave early. They also extended our stay until 2pm free of charge. The lady at the front desk said they could extend our stay until 6PM for an additional $60 USD. They also held our luggage while we went to get food which was very convenient. The hotel has numerous restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, this is a good budget friendly hotel. The only cons were the rooms are very small. It had both a king size and twin bed so there wasn’t a lot of space move around the room. The bathroom was spacious. The biggest con is that the bathroom tub is so high that it is very difficult to get in and out of the tub. I am 5 foot 2 inches and I literally struggled getting in and out of the shower. It’s constructed that way so this isn’t something that can be fixed so I didn’t complain. Overall the stay was good with no real complaints.

Amazing service
From checkin to checkout this place was clean and courteous. Routine cleaning and service. Upon checkin the front desk even helped me clear a miscommunication with my uber arrival. Very professional and friendly. Mostly everyone speaks English too. Would stay again.

RIP off Portobay
Ripping people off. Charging 3.5-4 times more than they should of. Place is nice friendly staff but run very badly. Manager didn’t even want to come to speak to me regarding their extortionate prices because of a summit. Plenty of nice hotels along the strip who don’t rip people off. Be aware

Overall our stay was fantastic. Front desk and restaurant team members were always welcoming and friendly! The food at the onsite restaurant for dinner was phenomenal - well beyond our expectations. As was dinner and snacks by pool. Great location and walkable. What we did not like was that we had room refresh at the beginning of our stay. They took all the towels and didn’t leave any fresh towels. We got back from a walking tour wanting to shower and our phone did not work to call down to the front desk. So we went back down there to watch the front desk. Individual said they would send housekeeping up. The towels never arrived, we ended up getting our phone fixed and then had to call back down again. Overall, we ended up having to ask four times for fresh towels before they were brought to us the next day. This happened one more time again as well, And I explained what we had encountered earlier in our stay. Housekeeping came right up this time. The other thing which was weird was that our resfreshed bed had what looked like bug wings on it. Our stay was amazing besides the housekeeping aspect.

Wonderful stay with beach views
I had a fantastic stay at Portobay hotel right on Copacabana Beach. Even though my flight arrived early, the staff allowed me to use the amenities until my room was ready.
