Our room was given away to someone who's original room was unacceptable to them. When we arrived, we were told nothing about this because the front desk was clueless and nothing was updated in the computer. So we were given keys to an occupied room. Thankfully they did not work, we did not enter an occupied room, and we returned to the front desk. This was after 1am and then the front desk proceeded to go upstairs and wake the poor man up. We were then told it was the third time it had happened that night. It took over an hour, after a long drive, late at night, to finally be given a room at the other Pear Tree Inn location. The location by the medical center never changed anything in the computer, therefore I got a phone call after checking out of the other location asking for payment for another night since my luggage was still in the original room I reserved. I informed the person on the phone that I never set foot in said room since it was given away underneath me, therefore I'd be doing no such thing. It was a disaster. There is clearly no communication, zero record keeping skills and people left alone at night that do not know how to do their jobs.
