great location with easy access to park, subway, river. lots of restaurants and coffee shops. no safety concerns as a solo female traveler. nyc hotel rooms are small and underwhelming compared to american hotels in general. this one wasnt unclean or unsanitary, but it looks shabby, so if you have high standards for that, you'll be unhappy. but if you just need a jumping off point to all the best of nyc, it's perfect
