Lovely, calm hotel in great area

I spent 2 nights here, as part of a busy 10 day work trip to New York, Paris and London. The Windsor Hotel was my favourite of the three stays. Staff were kind, the hotel was tucked away on a quiet and atmospheric street, in a lively and lovely part of Paris, and my room was SO comfortable, with a real sense of calm to it. Newly renovated property with a big bathroom and nice decor. We got a free upgrade which was cool! No bar/restaurant but plenty of options just outside the door. We loved the boutique style and uniqueness of this hotel, it was a nice quaint street but lots of access to fab restaurants, it was a good location with several metro stations within a 10 minute walk making it easy to reach any part of Paris. The hotel itself was a wonderful old building, the room was cosy as a family room, with the sofa bed having 2 single beds which my teenage daughters appreciated rather than sharing, there isn’t a bar but drinks are available from reception if you prefer to stay in rather than the many bars in the area, we would definitely stay again.

This is a lovingly maintained hotel in the 9th arrondissement. The constant improvements are clear in the charming lobby and classy conversion of the basement into a business center. Both are done with style. Those who have spent time in Paris will appreciate the AC and clever incorporation of an elevator in the original stairway’s original central column. The rooms were clean, spacious for Paris, and the bathrooms recently updated. The only thing lacking was not tea kettle or way to have hot drinks in the room or lobby. In winter this was missed. The location is ideal. Tucked in a quiet street and a short walk to various metro stations, restaurants, bistros, and shops it is an excellent center point to explore Paris from.
