Profile: Copenhagen City Centre

Copenhagen City Centre is home to Copenhagen’s most historic neighborhoods, a place of narrow streets, cosmopolitan boutiques, boats drifting down picturesque canals, and 1st-class restaurants dishing up decadent smørrebrød sandwiches. SMK—The National Gallery of Denmark is Denmark’s largest art museum, with an impressive Matisse collection. Stop by bustling Torvehallerne market, a local favorite, to pick up rare teas and Danish delicacies.

See the city by hopping on one of the blue Netto-Boats, which offer multi-lingual tours and cruises down the Børsgraven. The tours take in many of Copenhagen’s most noteworthy sites, including the Little Mermaid statue and Amalienborg Palace.

    Loved Copenhagen

Wonderful hotel and location. Our West facing room was hot in the afternoon , but opened the windows and had a great breeze. There was also a fan for the night. While on a side street, the noise was minimal . Nearby is a Netto grocery store, 7 Eleven, and many restaurants on the walking promenades. Close to City Hall, Metro and Central Train station. We walked everywhere as Copenhagen Centro is not that large. But beware the many bicycles and look both ways on the bike lanes

great location on a quiet street right in the city centre. room was a nice size. restaurant staff great, good breakfast. front desk staff inconsistent - some great, others not welcoming. reupholster chairs in reception for a better first impression - yellow chairs are stained! room hot, no air conditioning luckily it wasn't that hot in the Copenhagen during our stay. windows open to interior courtyard so hard to have windows open and privacy. bathtub caulking moldy - hard to get past this.

When we arrived from the airport, the hotel allowed us to check in early at 11 am. We were so happy because it was pouring rain and we had lots of luggage. This hotel is basically across the street from Tivolli gardens and 2 blocks from the largest pedestrian walking mall and very close to the round tower, Nahavyn harbour and the royal palace. It was a wonderful location. All staff spoke english.

Convenient location, but 3.5 stars overall.

Hotel was fairly convenient and within walking distance to train and attractions. They offered bikes to rent by the day which was a timesaver for pick up and drop off when needed but they are fairly basic which is something to keep in mind if bike features are something to be considered. Hotel is a bit older and dark and if your view faces inward towards other units, this will influence if you want to leave your shades and windows open. With it also being an older hotel, their isn’t a fan in the bathroom for ventilation and shower drains easily clogged even when there was no blockage. Our package included beverages but this was only refilled twice over the 6 nights we stayed.

    Hot in Copenhagen

I was visiting Copenhagen in July 2018 and according to locals, it was a hotter summer than usual. The weather in Copenhagen was around 28-30 C, this hotel like many in Europe does not have air conditioning. The windows do open, unfortunately our room was facing the afternoon sun. By the time we checked in the temperature was well over 30C. We had a small fan in the room that was totally inadequate in size to move any air around the room. Leaving the windows open at night was very noisy and hard to sleep. Around 4 AM I finally had to shut all the windows to reduce the noise. I finally woke up very early in the morning and left the hotel since it was almost impossible to get any rest there. The bathroom was also dirty with mold grow all around the bath tub. The carpet was very outdated and worn out. It felt like you couldn't walk barefoot there.

I recommend a street or back alley facing room

Location is top notch, staff is very friendly and helpful. There were some issues with check in and misunderstandings and I got a wrong room. The room I got in the end was a corner room so quite spacious! It faces the atrium which I wouldn’t recommend. There’s no fresh air but there’s mall-music out there from 7 am to 9 pm. It’s just too much. It’s very echoey out there too so very loud when people have sex with open windows. We did have a nice stay though and the beds were really comfy. I opted for an upgrade to a deluxe room with A glass of wine, and a tea and coffee set for all 3 nights. But the coffee, tea and cream weren’t refilled by room service. The bathroom had some cracked tiles and no power outlets, and only one hook for your towel but two sinks. When I arrived there were some live larvae(?!) in the toilet I’ve never seen anywhere before in my life. Staff hadn’t either. I suspect because of Covid and the 90% vacant rooms, the water has become stale over a long time, I just flushed them, no problem. But it did nauseate me for a while, not gonna lie. I would stay again but not with a room facing the atrium.

Excellent location and high comfort level all around. The service was great and the breakfast superb. Only “negative” was that the room/furniture felt quite worn and that the supply of toiletries offered was at a minimum (both based on the fact that it’s rated as a four star hotel). The windows are also not very soundproof so if you’re a light sleeper, noise from the street outside might be disturbing. Would still recommend it to others and book it again myself.

The hotel is in a great, central location close to the metro. Unfortunately, the condition of the hotel is very dated, including a musty smell in the hallway. We paid extra for a deluxe room, much was more spacious than the basic but still nothing special ( the photos were quite deceiving). Not the best value for money.
