The inn keepers were very friendly and nice. They were very helpful. I just wished the hallways were better lite. The light switch was at the end of one hallway instead the front.

Very clean
Very clean, cozy cabin with its own snow play area. They charge $20 per vehicle per day (Jan 2018) to use the snow play area if you are not a hotel guest. The beds are soft (not great if you prefer hard beds). Overall, great for 1-2 nights stay.

Nice stay
Really neat facility. Nice breakfast. Very nice staff. The only thing disappointing was that there was hardly any room to move in our room. There were 2 beds and a bunk bed, and only two of us in Chalet 12. Would have preferred to stay in a different room that wasn’t as cramped.

Casual and Comfortable Family-Run Lodge
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Tamarack Lodge for a night. It is a family-run lodge with a communal kitchen. We felt welcomed and enjoyed meeting the three goats and 4 cows on the property, as well as the other guests. The wi-fi does not extend to the rooms but works in the lounging area.

Nice hotel. Bed uncomfortable.
Nice folksy hotel. Stayed in their Chalet in back. #10 . It was for handicapped. Bed was old spring mattress that was hard to sleep on. Otherwise very nice. Not too many choices in that area on Highway 4.

Quiet wooden house in the forest (close to hwy 4)
Very quiet, very cozy and classy at the same time (like at your grandma's century-old house), in the middle of the forest (though 20 m to the highway 4), hike trail into the forest right there.
No old power outlet falling out of the wall, no smelly fridge, no rusty taps, no cheap plastic, no cheap... anything!
It's obvious that a lot of love and hard work was put in the place.
It was a bit cold in the morning - I couldn't figure out how to keep the AC working. Otherwise - absolutely fantastic!

Great Low-Key Family Snow Destination
We were coming from the Bay Area and looking for a place to take our two young children to get a taste of the snow. We were very pleased with Tamarack Lodge for this purpose. The room was fine, but more important was everything else. In the main lodge they have a shared living room and play room and a shared kitchen (which we used to cook our meals). You can play in the snow on their property and they have a little sledding hill and sleds and snowshoes for guests to use. The surrounding forests were breathtakingly beautiful. The innkeepers couldn't have been nicer. The drive took 4 hours and was easy, even though it was snowing as we were driving. We would definitely go back.

Prima verblijf leuke eigenaren
Het is wat je van een lodge kunt verwachten. Heel basic maar prima. Wij slapen in kamer 12.
