This was a bit of a disappointment . I was in a jail cell interior room and had to upgrade to a ocean front .It was a have to as the interior room was dark and depressing. Not impressed at all with the service in the restaurant slow and not English friendly.I would have given it way more good if I had even had one time in the restaurant that it seemed someone was really working .There was no excuse the hotel was full of people and no one to serve.eveything I asked for seemed to be an inconvience

NASTY, then fine
We traveled with a group and there were 3 rooms in total. We paid extra to have a room with a view and ended up with the worst room. When we arrived, there was a horrible smell. At first we thought it was the dated fridge that was left open and unplugged; we closed it, plugged it in and aired out the room, but the smell did not go away. We asked to change rooms and were told none were available, so they sent a cleaner to check. She told us the room smelt like that because the former occupants had left the room in a disgusting state with rotten food and dirty diapers (very reassuring) and there wasn’t more she could do than mop again and spray some air freshener. We left the room to air out with the doors open and the air conditioner running to get as much circulation as possible, but the smell continued. It turns out it was a septic smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. We continued to ask for a solution at the reception and asked to speak with a manager, but they told us they could do nothing until the next day. We spent the night with the door open and air conditioner running and covered our faces with towels to sleep. In addition, this particular room seemed to be neglected and in disrepair. The sink was peeling off and had rust rings around it. The tv was crooked, loosely hung and did not work. The air conditioner was very dated compared to the other room, as were most other fittings. And the internet did not work. Once we moved, the other room was fine.

Teresa's stay...
Spent 9 days....had a wonderful time....the hotel is a little gem ...just off the Malacon....the housekeeping staff, front desk and servers in dinning room are all so friendly, polite and work very hard to make your stay the best....I was unhappy about the wire fence an having to walk down to the ocean...but after a few days ,I realized this fence added to the the privacy...people could not come in and try to sell was wonderful to sit by the pool, facing the ocean an being able to read with out interruption...would defiantly comeback...

Will definitely book the hotel a second time.
First time staying at El Pescador even though we've been coming to PV for many years. Don't know if we were just lucky with our room but we had a very nice balcony room overlooking pool & ocean. Our bed was very firm so took several nights to get use to it. Our breakfasts in the dining room were the only downfall. Maybe it was because no one server looked after you. One server would take your order, another bring your food & you never knew who would bring the bill. Food was good but we were never asked if we'd like more coffee. This is the only area that needs improvement.
