Manager and receptionists were lovely, nice and attentive but the condition of the hotel was really poor we had black mould all over our bathroom, broken plug/light switch, the toilet would need to be consistently flushed or stuff would float up from the pipes and the double bed was two single beds barely pushed together so would separate throughout the night. We spoke to a receptionist and the manager who tried to solve our black mould problem but couldn’t as there was not a builder in and refunded us our city tax which was much appreciated and we loved everyone who works there but our room needed serious work. The lobby/entrance area was lovely and the local area was really nice too. Would stay again if the room was done up.

The hotel was wonderful, delicious hot selections and ample cold choices located in a unique decor. Location was excellent & easily walkable throughout Monmarte and central areas by the river. Walking from the Arc d'Triomph to the hotel took about 45 min & we felt very safe. It was about 20 min to walk, plus lots of steps, to Sacre Coeur. Our room was nice but small & to be expected for an older hotel in Paris. The Rudyard Kipling theme & portraits/artwork gave a unique vibe. Some street noise on a Fri night but also to be expected just blocks away from the Moulin Rouge. Staff were friendly & very helpful.

This hotel is perfect if you were going to the Moulin Rouge and wanted to see the sights in Montmarte. The breakfast was a surprisingly basic but good.

The staff were lovely and friendly, really nice building and area, in the thick of Pigalle without being super touristy. Had a great atmosphere. The cold water carafes were a nice touch. The rooms were small as some other reviews said but for a base for exploring, it couldnt be better.

Loved the uniqueness of the place and the fact we had a balcony for our room. Room wasn't big but perfectly comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was nice to have as well. The hotel location was great, walkable to sites and metro stations.Would recommend.

Great hotel in a very good location. Staff were incredibly attentive and rooms were perfect. Air conditioned and water available in lobby. Beds were comfortable and shower and tub (separate) were great. Very close to both metro station and bus stop and walkable tons of restaurants and bakeries.

Charming hotel, a little vintage but clean and comfortable! Perfect for ducking into after a day in Paris. The double room was intimate so definitely best for couples or close friends. The area has sooo much good food and wine around it, it’s perfectly located a few streets a ways from really touristy things (like moulin rouge and a few more from montmartre) so it felt like a much better mix of tourists and locals. Super close to a metro line too so easy to get to gare du nord and CDG airport! Loved it

The room was very loud, noise coming from the ventilation on the roof. We had to sleep with earplugs, otherwise it would have been unbearable. The room was renovated in "Parisien style" (floor was very slanting!), so it was a shame that they hadn't fixed the noise. Elevator was really small and slow.

Breakfast was lovely and lots of really nice restaurants within walking distance. Tube station only a couple of minutes walk away so really easy to get to CDG Airport without taxi.
Similar to all Paris hotels, the room was small but clean and nicely decorated and coffee, water and snacks were available for free all day.
The down side of being in a busy area with nice pubs and eateries was the noise at night with chattering and traffic noise heard into the early hours but it didn’t stop me sleeping.
