Salvador is the oldest city in Brazil, so it has lots of historical buildings in the center of the city, lots of beautiful churches and beaches. The food is amazing, if you love seafood i recommend the mixed moqueca, with lobster, shrimps, and oyster

Excellent
Salvador is beautiful but in the historical centre you're limited as to where you can go because of crime. The police presence is enormous so you do feel safe.

Lots of historical evidence of slavery. Now it's really a place of Joy.
"Great hotel. Right at beach front and restaurants and shops and very safe. The room was clean and house keeping was very accessible and helpful. However you should really, really, really invest on purchasing mattress sheets with the elastic bands the grab the mattress. What is up with using regular sheets on the mattress?? Have of the time, after a few tosses and turns during the night, one ends up sleeping on the bare mattress. Thank goodness it was clean. Nevertheless, it was still gross. "
