The Landings stay July 2023
Just back from an amazing stay at The Landings and cannot fault it at all. Accommodation is some of the best we’ve ever stayed in - spacious, incredibly comfortable and immaculately clean. Food and Drinks at the resort were lovely although an extra restaurant for choice would be good to stop it getting too repetitive. The only thing that I think it is missing is a seating areas for drinks - very limited around bar areas and if you are a family you don’t want to stand at the bar, There is seating near the Palms restaurant but this is in the main foyer and feels like you are just arriving/leaving. But we would certainly return as we all had a lovely relaxing time.

DON’T EVEN DO IT TO YOURSELF!!!!
As New Yorkers and world travelers, I must say this is the most unfriendly island I’ve ever visited. Upon landing at Hewanorra aiport, no one was spoke or even cracked a smile. Upon arriving at the resort, it was more of the same, no pleasant greeting and no smiles. Keep in mind there’s a 2 hour ride from the airport to the resort on a long, windy road at 100 per person is crazy. Checkin process took about 90 minutes although no one were no other guests other than us waiting. The room was nice and well appointed but that’s about it. All the food was subpar. The buffet dinners were all 60 usd. Do not do the all inclusive as food was horrible and menu is extremely limited.The illest is when we inquired about the lemongrass scent used in the room, housekeeping came back and said it was 200 usd! Lol! Now, we know that oil didn’t cost 200. We just gave it to him on the strength that he need it and hope it helps his family. Even when you tip, they seem extremely ungracious. We gave our driver 100 tip for our ride from the airport. He said a very faint thank you under his breath and drove off. Also, every time you leave the resort you have to fetch a taxi which will cost you 30 round trip for a ride less than 5 minutes each way. The resort needs to provide a complimentary shuttle for its guests within a 10-15 mile radius. They charge for every little thing. We informed management of all this and they said we’ll do better next time. There will be no next time! Never coming back!

Fabulous hotel
We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful location with lovely beach. Everything is clean and COVID rules followed. We were upgraded and had a fabulous suite for 2 of us. It was luxury. All the staff are friendly and polite. There is lots of choice on the buffet meals.

The rooms are large, comfortable and very well equipped. However, we (2 couples) had a good week despite being at this resort rather than because of it. Our butler was largely responsible for achieving this, a butler room is recommended. Reservations didn’t do anything they confirmed in advance by email they would do including giving us the room type booked and specifically requested, notifying the restaurants about dietary requirements of one guest (gluten and egg free) and dinner reservations. It was a couple of days before a suitable breakfast was available. After the first day shambles the restaurant made an effort, but their apparent understanding and ability to cater for her was disappointing and we self catered and ate out mostly which was not our original plan. Our pre ordered pantry groceries were not in the rooms when we arrived. The hotel website was not up to date as of first week of May, for example for our butler rooms registration was not done in our rooms (neither was a drink provided, not even water); butlers do not reserve loungers on the beach, snorkel rental is not free ($5per hour). The beachfront room one couple was upgraded to was very noisy on friday (jump up party in rodney Bay) and sunday nights (regular party on adjacent public beach) until early hours. Management did eventually try and address our issues but too late to be of use and half of small monetary compensation offered (about 6 cocktails each) never materialised.

Our three bedroom suite overlooking the ocean with the plunge pool was completely AMAZING! By far the best vacation room I have ever experienced. Flawless. We loved this resort and would not hesitate to return. Some things were not perfect and I am only listing these to help The Landings consider improving. But no joke. This resort is extraordinary. Please consider improving: the breakfast buffet by keeping the foods warm. Often the sausage or bacon was cold as the heaters in many of the foods didn’t seem to be working. ALWAYS have the amazing mangoes available. Sometimes I asked the waiters to replenish a food item that was empty but it was seldom done. So… if that’s my only complaint, then that’s pretty damn good!!

Just a beautiful resort without being too shi-shi ... wonderful, long beach; superbly outfitted suites with kitchens and wonderful decks. Friendly, caring staff. Nice location near Pidgeon Island and close to Rodney Bay, yet away from that city's hustle and bustle. Wonderful breakfast.
