Well Worth The Stay

The Hampton Inn is in a key location in the middle of everything. The check-in was quick and the staff was friendly. I had a room with double beds which was quite cozy. The roof top on the 38th floor was lovely. The breakfast was amazing and located on two floors.

Elevator hell

Room was fine, very small but very acceptable. The bathroom door did not close but the second day there, when we told the front desk, they quickly fixed it (but left a small mess of sawdust on the floor). No recycling bin in the room. Worst part and frankly only real problem was that the elevators are very small and too crowded. We were on the 29th floor and every morning the elevators would quickly fill up and then stop at nearly every floor on the way down. Doors would open, people would want to get on but there was no room so after looking at each other they would back off and wait for the next, most likely overcrowded elevator. It took us forever to get down to the lobby, but no likely as long as it took riders on lower floors to find room in an elevator that stopped at their floor. Happened every morning we were there … 4 days.

Very nice hotel and great location.

The room was small, but good enough for a short stay. Despite being close to Times Square, surprisingly no noise in our room. Very clean and the staff was friendly. We had hoped to visit the roof top bar, but it didn’t open until 6 pm and we had Broadway tickets.

Avoid elevators between 9 and 10 am !!

Excellent location, beautiful rooftop bar, comfortable and clean rooms. Only issue was the elevator - between 9 and 10 am the wait on the 33rd floor was over 20 minutes. Eventually a staff member brought the dedicated roof top bar elevator to save us . . .

Poor Service and Darn Right Nasty

I was treating my wife and sister for her Sister’s 65th birthday to a night and shows. In the notes section I mentioned my wife and her sister would be staying. On arrival they would not let them check in and honestly were RUDE. This upset her sister who needed a break as he husband just had his leg amputated. I wanted to do something nice but I guess that is not what we do in 2025.
