The place gives it a bed and breakfast vibes that is close to downtown. Love the rocking chairs and porch swing, greeted by the cute fur babies that lives there. The love the access to share the kitchen, laundry area and bathrooms...the parking lot has an incline hill so if you ride a motorcycle, please be aware of the surroundings , i have dropped my motorcycle, had help to get it up. Not the end of the world. Definitely love this place and will book again when i visit.

Hostel close to McKenzie Stadium
We stayed at the Heinsman because it is a short walk from McKenzie Stadium. It's very clean and we got our entry and room code in advance. I didn't realize that it is a hostel when I booked and that is on me. There are no private bathrooms, but there are shared bathrooms at the end of the hall, and that is not ideal for an older couple. Our room overlooked a bar patio that was going strong until the wee hours so we got little sleep. Might not be a problem for partiers, but not for us.

Experience Chattanooga With Vintage Charm Amenitie
It was different. My son felt like he experienced what it would be like to live in a college dorm. There was an old world charm. Good location. Very relaxing. Great for the price.

Better off elsewhere…
This place is FAR from being considered a hotel and this has no place on Hotels.com. Shared bathrooms that were located at the opposite end of the building from our room. We were “greeted” by a barking dog upon arrival. Our luck, said dog was in the adjacent room to ours. Baby bath tub was in the shower when we arrived and some woman’s hair stuck to shower walls. Our room was flooded with light from the street. We tossed and turned for one night of our 3 night “stay” then bailed and found a nicer, ACTUAL hotel. Of course our reservation was “non-refundable”…so a big waste of about $350 dollars or so. The only redeemable quality is that it was close to a couple of cool bars around the corner, otherwise this place was a bust.

Great place to stay, very clean, confortable. If you are not looking for a hotel, it has a vibe of a house, individual rooms, shared bathroom. Very nice! Loved it!

Really enjoyed our stay. Had a small issue with the TV but the property manager took care of it immediately after I reported the issue. Rooms were very nice and beds were comfortable. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Chattanooga.

Great place to stay in downtown Chattanooga! You will need to share the bathrooms, but they are very clean and there was never an issue of having to wait.

Very unique building. Fresh clean exterior presentation-white 5- story building with 12x12, raw cut posts in a light rust finish and vintage law-office front door. Interior- minimalist decor. Vintage hardwood floors with white furnishings. Lovely.

It is a quaint well kept older building. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Only negative is showers and toilets are at end of hallway, but understandable due to age of building.

We loved staying here and would definitely stay again. It’s quiet, clean and feels like home. It’s also very convenient to many downtown attractions and food.
