Average room, amazing staff
The room was just average and clean enough. The beds weren't super comfortable and It wasn't great that the family room was right above the bus depo so you could hear people late into the night. The location is great for events in city center or a shopping trip. The highlight to our trip was the lady cleaning our room who went above and beyond to make our young daughter feel welcome. Not once, but twice she stopped by with treats and wished us a wonderful stay and Merry Christmas. She made an average stay very special.

Location is the main point - and only this...
The good thing is that the hotel is close to the train station and a mall with many options to eat. It's also close to downtown Aberdeen -walking distance. The staff is also friendly. Apart from that, the hotel is quite old/outdated and clearly struggling with financials as the room's cleaning level is not that great (at least the one I was in) and breakfast options are average. It clearly needs some revamp/renovation.

Great location, clean but poor check in
Stayed here before under previous hotel chain. Location great, cleanliness great, bar pricey but good. Been to many hotels and was so disappointed with check in. Foreign guy checked us in, confirmed who I was then threw room key at me across the desk. No details about breakfast, check out, lifts etc. I was very taken aback as I didn’t expect that. Very poor check in experience, still don’t know where to go for breakfast!

Air con for heating did not work, small oil radiator too small for size of room. Tv remote batteries dead. For £90 a night it is not my job as a paying guest to run around 10 oclock at night looking for basic comforts.

Maria with house keeping was friendly and very helpful when we were assigned the wrong type of room 2 times. She personally took time and walked back downstairs to the desk to help us to get into a room. She is an excellent employee who really should get some recognition. Thank you again Maria.

Weekend stay for Birthday
Really enjoyed the city view from the 6th floor executive room. Friendly reception staff, lovely clean room, excellent breakfast, only negative points waited 50 minutes in the restaurant for meal to arrive and it was cold. Paid £ 36.00 for car parking.
