Great location in mid town Manhattan with convenient access to trains. Room is rather outdated but cleanliness level is acceptable. Had issues with the TV set and hair dryer and these were promptly attended to by the friendly hotel staff.

Great Stay, Very Nice Accomodations
This was my first stay at the Stanford. I was treated well from the front door service to check in. I arrived early, but i was offered bag service while I shopped till check in which was really nice. The property is very clean, quiet and in a safe area and my room was really comfortable. I especially liked the mini fridge to keep things cold if needed. They have a complimentary continental breakfast from 6-10 which is nice for early risers that dont want to go too far for morning coffee and small bites. You can also store your bags after check out, so you can do last minute shopping and enjoy more of what the city has to offer. Overall I had a wonderful visit and will definitely stay at Hotel Sanford again.

Fantastic Stay !!!!
Stanford is a crown jewel. It is next to the Empire State Building, in the heart of KoreanTown and a short train ride to every where important. The hotel offers complementary breakfast, all day coffee and also has a bar in the evening. The staff is super courteous and receives / resolves with a big smile. The hotel has free luggage storage so you can deposit your stuff and move around freely until you check-in or even after check-out. I will definitely stay here again. Loved everything about it.

Too hot!
The location is amazing. The WiFi was spotty at best. The HVAC system was the biggest issue. I like to sleep in a cold room. The AC was turned off for the season. It got up to 80 degrees one day and there was no AC. I was offered a fan. The windows opened slightly so I was able to get some fresh air, however the street noise was very loud with the windows open, even with the fan. They need to get the heat/air redone so each room can control the temp. There was a thermostat in the room but they eventually told me it would never cool because the AC was central air and turned off.

Hotel Stanford
Better than expected. Although small was very comfortable and clean. We were on the second floor towards the front, it was very quiet. There was absolutely no view, literally a brick wall outside our window but who cares. Very accommodating staff. They held our bags before and after checkin/check out. Good location clise to Penn station and around the corner from the empire state building.

Decent stay with a couple of technical hiccups
The hotel was conveniently located less than a ten minute walk from Penn Station where we arrived by train. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. The Wi-Fi was spotty. The TV did not connect to any network or local stations so I could not catch a Monday Night Football game or the final World Series game. Both games featured the local NY team. Neither issue was a deal killer.
