Food was great, along with the staff. However, in my opinion, based on stating their. Few years ago, it needs a refurb. Also, I must have forgotten that because it’s situated on the high street it can be noisy. My room window overlooked the high street, and it was noisy. Overall ok, would I return, yes, but solely for logistical reasons.

6/10 Good

Room was clean but cold, no heating in the room on arrival an extra oil rad was supplied, then of course it got too hot early morning 1,2,3,4, am Bathroom heater too small for the size of the room not helped by not having a blind to keep the cold from the windows, a blind was fitted before because wall plugs were still in situation, dressing/ tea, coffee table wobbly so hot liquid did spill, cheap and nasty piece of furniture, Barby room this is our room we stayed in , hopefully the next two visits room selected will be better. Rant over.

1 night trip

I really liked the setting of the hotel. The room was very nice and clean. There was a nice pub on the side with nice friendly staff. I didn't eat in the pub but I did hear the food is nice in there. Is a nice like place for business or a couples get away. The only down side was, on the day of my visit it was a very hot day. I had all the windows open and it was still very hot in the room and there was not fan. But I would stay there again.

Tiny room with no breakfast for a price of 4* hote

We must have been assigned the smallest room - it was extremely pokey. The view from the window was of the gravel on the parking. The village though is another story - it’s like being in a Skansen - plenty of period houses, many with thatched roofs, just beautiful. I’ll be back but most probably book my room elsewhere.
