We have stayed in a variety of places and I think that this place is just the right amount of everything. It wasn’t busy or noisy. The accommodations we exactly what we needed for a laid back family of four. The pool is great awesome location the grounds are clean.

Banyan Harbor #27 Was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went to visit some family and needed a unit that could accommodate six people! The images that are on the profile for this hotel are not bad. But when we got to the unit, it was honestly 10 times better. I was a little sketch at first, but when we arrived, it was really nice. Unit 27 is where we stayed and it is actually two stories with two separate balconies. Both rooms are upstairs along with the laundry Stacker. Full size kitchen with Appliances and everything you need. Very happy with this experience and we plan to stay again when we come back. Price is very reasonable. -BR

Not what I was hoping for....

Disappointing , things were not clean, sliding door didn't have a lock. Shower was all rusty and felt very grimy. Also the master bedroom siding closet door track was all rusty, door was hard to open and close. No space to hang clothes because there is a vacuum and a shower stall chair in the closet. And a large chair blocking the other sliding closet door. Soap dispenser in the dishwasher did not work properly, so no soap was released. I asked to change rooms and was told that they were sold out, I was not surprised as it was Valentine's Week. They did however come to our room and clean all the handprints and gunk from all interior doors and cleaned the kitchen again. There was still left over coffee and a dirty dispenser from the previous renters! Kitchen cabinets were sticky. Also I pulled out dirty flatware, dishes and bowls from the cupboard. I'm guessing because the dishwasher was not working properly. It just felt dirty and I conveyed that to the head of housekeeping, she was very very sweet and helpful. I should mention this is a one level unit with no stairs inside or out. They consider this a handicapped room but IMO no room for a wheel chair. Doors are standard size including the front and bathroom doors.

Not really a resort, but converted apartments.

This hotel is on the side of a mountain. It appears to be a converted apartment complex. If you need extra space, this might be the place for you. If you’re actually looking for a resort, this is not it. This hotel is built on the side of a steep hill so the roads in and out and around the complex or steep. It is actually at a port so it was fun to see the cruise ships coming in and going out. We had a cheap coffee pot and older appliances. We did not use the kitchen for cooking. The hotel does provide pots and pans and dishes so that is an option if you do wish to cook in the unit. The window AC units worked OK. Upon our arrival, the “resort” charged $73 to cover their amenities. We were only there a day and a half and did not use their amenities. Our neighbor’s balconies looked down into our so we were never comfortable being out on the balcony. It was not private. This was pretty expensive for what you get. It is not a resort.

The knock at the door

We had a disappointing experience during our stay. Within five minutes of entering the room, there was a knock at the door from the downstairs neighbor, who informed us that the floors were thin and asked us to tread lightly. I explained that we were just bringing in our suitcases and apologized, but the neighbor still insisted we remain quiet. While we are not loud people, I reminded my kids to be as quiet as possible. Despite this, the neighbor knocked again whenever we spent time in the front room, which made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Additionally, the cleanliness of the unit left much to be desired. The dishes in the cupboards were dirty, so we had to load and run the dishwasher before using them. It seemed like they had been put away without being properly cleaned. Overall, these issues detracted significantly from what we had hoped would be an enjoyable stay.
