Everything was wonderful. Stunning view from our ocean front room. Automatic curtains were a nice touch and the staff were all lovely. Hot tub, pool deck and spa were very enjoyable spaces. Loved our stay, look forward to returning. Only criticism is the room service and pool menu could do with a few more options.

Hotel design is stunning - credit to the architects, engineers and interior designers.
View to the ocean is impeccable. Perfect for whale watching.
Pool is on the smaller side but lovely. Unfortunately it is shaded from midday onwards which makes it unappealing place to hang out. Pool/bar area is a wind tunnel - hopefully the hotel can rectify that somehow.
Given the hotel is virtually brand new, it is only customer service that can let it down. Check in staff were lovely but we had to wait quite a long time to check in (by this stage we just wanted to take our shoes off and chill). Did not try any of their restaurants.

The room is stunning but the whole hotel experience is nowhere near 5 stars or justified by the extremely high price. The smallest reception of any hotel I’ve been and terrible elevator service, only 2 elevators worked and we constantly waited 5-10 mins each time to go anywhere, once you’re in it’s so full and everyone is complaining about how long the wait and tiny the elevators are and how one elevator doesn’t show the floor numbers so you’re guessing everytime it stops on a floor, it also has 2 sets of elevator buttons in each one and only 1 side works. Also our whole floor was getting some kind of carpet cleaning and smelled so bad of wet dog. The very dimly lit hallways were not great, it always felt like night time inside because of this and that there was no natural sunlight either. And the room service is ridiculous, there was a $30 surcharge fee for breakfast and $10 delivery. 1 coffee took 1.5 hrs to come. Ended up getting uber eats which was cheaper and took only 35 mins. Would not go back, better off at Langham or Jw Marriot.

Great design hotel, fantastic staffs
The hotel is newly opened, the designs are excellent with a great vibe. I made the booking knowing new hotel may have glitches and expecting some "surprises". It turned out to be true as my room had an entire electricity blackout during the night with the air ventilation also stopped functioning. It was certainly not a good experience to say the least.
The next morning I went to the front desk to report this, led by Jessica, the front desk staffs were very understanding and patience to help me sort things out. Ariel and Lachie were very professional and friendly going through the process and made the bad experience a lot less irritating.
All other staffs I have had a chance to interact with were all very friendly, if you are thinking of booking please expect there might be minor glitches but the staffs there are going to do their bests to help you through that.

I’m very disappointed with my experience at the Mondrian Gold Coast. I was charged twice for a single stay, which was quite costly, and I have yet to be reimbursed, despite it now being a week since I raised the issue.
Each time I call to follow up, I’m told the refund still hasn’t been processed, with no clear explanation or timeline for resolution. The lack of communication and accountability has been extremely frustrating and not reflective of the high standards one would expect from a luxury hotel.
