Outstanding, this is such a gem of a hotel. I will 100% be staying here on my next trip to Victoria, The food was amazing, the decor outstanding and I never wanted to leave my room it was so fabulous - you can tell so much thought and care was put into every design decision. We had the Newbury room and it was very comfortable and spacious. Very tasteful and thoughtfully designed. The grounds are lovely. The bidet toilets were next level! The location is in a quiet residential neighbourhood - about 10 min walk to the ocean. About 10-15 mins by car to downtown Victoria. The restaurant is super busy every night (!) so didn’t manage to try it, so make sure you book in advance. Lovely boutique hotel!

Don’t let the construction hold you back. An absolutely wonderful property and staff. Newly renovated. No detail missed. The quality is some of the best I’ve seen. No need to look for a dining place. They have covered too. I highly recommend.

We are badly conflicted about this hotel. It is truly a 5 star luxury hotel with incredible finishes and service. The restaurant is also terrific as are the staff. So what is our problem? Samuel McClure must be rolling over in his grave at the mis matched furniture and decorations , the multitude of odd garden statues placed aimlessly everywhere , and the requirement that you must go outside and get wet after dinner to get back to your room. Please just reduce and simplify the furnishings in this wonderful old house and even William Morris ( “Have nothing in your home that you know is not either useful or beautiful “ would approve. Thanks for your kind consideration.
