This is a quaint pub with lots of interesting history. Although the accomodation is under renovation, the staff were highly accommodating and attentive which totally made up for any aspects of our stay which weren't quite up to standard. The food was delicious at both breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended and we will absolutely return in the future.

Lovely, quaint and welcoming.
I stayed in Withers which is a deluxe room, it was a very good size with plenty of room for me and my large dog who was travelling with me. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen and towels were good. I can’t comment on breakfast as I had to leave before 8am which is the time the breakfast service begins. What makes this place so nice is the staff who are super friendly and helpful. It is very dog friendly too. I would definitely stay here again.

A very warm welcome at this lovely pub
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely fish & chips dinner. Full English breakfast delicious... especially the sausages. Comfortable bed. Good shower.

Lovely pub with rooms. Room was very clean and a high standard. Bed lining had a lovely fresh comforting smell. Small bathroom with a shower. Cleaned to a high standard too. Room had good supplies of refreshments.

Lovely stay in this village pub. We received a warm welcome and good breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Slight issue with the saniflow toilet but staff apologised and were awaiting it being fixed.

Good stay
Stopped for three nights for work, the only downside was the noise from the quiz night on a Tuesday, which made it hard to fall asleep. Apart from that everything was good, room was clean and the service in the bar and restaurant was great.

The pub its self was brilliant and the food was lovely.
