4/10 Fair

I was disappointed with my recent stay at the Refinery Hotel. The check-in process felt rushed and impersonal—no information about Wi-Fi or other amenities was provided; I was simply handed my keys. The room itself was subpar. It was dusty, and the shower handle was barely functional and coming unscrewed. There were no slippers provided, leaving me to deal with cold floors. To top it off, several outlets in the room didn’t work, making it inconvenient to charge devices. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected much better attention to detail and service.

Stayed here with my tween daughters and we loved it! Location was great, able to walk (broadway, Times Square, Central Park, Bryant park). Beds were comfortable and room was nice and quiet, we slept so good. Would definitely stay here again.

6/10 Good

The managers were kind enough to listen to our concerns. However, the experience was not met to our expectations. The price we’ve paid for a 5 stars hotel was not met at all. The hotel felt like a 4 stars hotel rather than a 5. The rooms were not clean either, a lot of debris and dust around the room. The carpet was not clean either. Although I can’t complain about the location because it’s out of their control, but the location was very hectic. Furthermore, when we first arrived there wasn’t a porter to help with our luggage’s.

Good bit needs some repairs and upgrades
Like this hotel. Was secondary stay. The positives: courteous, helpful staff, High ceilings, comfortable bed, very quiet at night. Some negatives: needs upgrades and repairs. Our bathroom water outlet was broken and spouted water back onto countertop, electric iron once filled with water rapidly dripped that same water over electrical cable.

Great hotel. We were able to walk pretty much to every place we needed to. Also, subway stations all around the area. Hotel was great! Spacious rooms, very clean, great customer service and beat roof top!

6/10 Good

Five star hotel on paper, 3 star in reality. It's worn down and they don't care much about the experience they're selling. When we checked in we received a room at the first floor - it smelled from mold and they "forgot" to tell us that there is scaffolding and during the day workers just walk by our window... they recommended to "just keep your blinds closed"... Yet the lights in the room were broken. That for a full price. After we complained we moved to another room. Was higher up (so no scaffolding) and the lights worked but the smell was still there... and it wasn't the room category we paid for. So the second night they moved us again to a higher floor... this time it didn't smell. They pride themselves with an amazing rooftop, which they're also renting out to private events... Half of the time we didn't have access to the rooftop. The staff is nice, but they're bound by the rules and instructions they're given... I don't blame them... It's the hotel management and owners that seem to not care much. It was our first and last time there.
