This hilltop castle is fascinating. Most of it has been restored or remodeled. Mostly it is used as a conference center, but it's also a hotel.
It takes a bit to find it, as it's out of town on a hilltop. A few signs point the way if you watch carefully. Reception is correct, rooms are simple in furnishing but absolutely spotless and functional.
The restaurant (dinner was included in the overnight price) was a vaulted room with massive oak tables, simple furnishings, simple but tasty food. And the hotel has its own vineyard, also (wine available by glass, carafe, or bottle).
Breakfast was elsewhere in an institutional-type room that would be great in a business conference. The breakfast was a generous buffet with plenty of choices.
Free parking was outside the main castle gate, but guests are permitted to drive right up to the door near the elevators.
