Site said it was in a good location. A good location for what? The local wh0ré house? It was miles from anywhere touristy. We were meant to stay for two nights but moved on the second night even though we didn't get a refund. Also they don't offer breakfast. You get what you pay for so we should have just paid more in the first place.

My 1st Bangkok trip I will definitely coming back.
When I got in the area after midnight, I thought it was a shady area part of the town but it was actually a really nice place. I can walk to Tesco Lotus (department store with food court), take the bus to Thanya Park less than 5 miles (Starbucks open early), and take the taxi to The mall of Bang Kapi. Great experience all together!

The receptionist can speak English, which I liked. And he was helpful and available to answer any of my questions. The only problem is the hotel is a little far from center downtown area.

You get what you pay for
It's a cheap hotel, so it's not fair to expect too much.
However, "Hotels.com" description is a little misleading... there isn't a 24 hour front desk (you get a night pass), and only one of the staff appeared to speak english (although they do try and be helpful). There's no lift so you're carrying your bags up the stairs, and while there was a fridge, it was of limited use given the power stops every time you leave the room.
Some of the reviews describe the amazingly decorated rooms, but ours called "Mystical Egypt" was just a plain, windowless room.
The key thing is the location - what you save in money, you lose in time.
The nearest station is "Hua Mak" on the Airport Rail Link line (it's a 20 minute walk from the hotel). Using the Rail Link and connecting to the BTS Sky Train takes about an hour to get into town. This may be a deal-breaker if you're pushed for time.
On the plus side, the hotel is just a 5 minute walk to a large "Tesco Lotus" supermarket.

The workers were really rude. They didn’t want to do nothing. Our room never got any free bottles of water like it said. I won’t not recommend anyone staying here

Great room in old building
Nice decoration and clean room (better than I think) in old building without parking. Hotel environment and corridor were not good and old with bad smell. But inside the room was so new and clean, quiet. Breakfast was quite good and staff’s service were quite helpful. There are bus stop in front of the hotel. And no lift inside the building. You must carry your old luggage to the room yourself in 4th floor of wild west room (but that’s acceptable).

It's ok for me. The worst things is 5th floor no lift, I & my wife had carry our luggage use staircases to 5th floor. No help from the hotel people. This is the part that I really regret choose this hotel. Other than that all ok.

Fun Bed&Breakfast in a Random Part of Bangkok
The first thing you notice about the Around the World B&B is that some serious effort was put into the decoration of the place. The lobby and all the rooms that I saw were unique and had well thought-out decorations. And, everything was very clean! The staff's English was pretty good and they were very helpful.
A couple minor disappointments- I didn't actually get the room that I had booked bc the a/c was broken in that room, and it says on the amenities that each room has a electric kettle for hot water. My room didn't have one, but there is one in the lobby that everyone is allowed to use.
Overall, a good place to stay if you find yourself in that random part of Bangkok.

Great restful place.
This is a very interesting hotel in an unlikely location. It wasn't the easiest to find but the marker on Google maps was spot on.
The decor is an eclectic mix of motifs from"Around the World". We stayed in the Bali Hut which was nice being on the second floor so we didn't have to climb more flights of stairs. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated and the bathroom large and very nicely done. Everything was clean and well done. The bed was exceptional.
The breakfast was simple but adequate with two eggs and toast and sliced tomato as well as tea and coffee. The service was good and the lobby very pleasant for sharing the meal.
There was some outside noise from the back of the hotel and some exceptionally loud motorcycles but most was dampened by the air conditioner so not a huge bother.
The location is a bit sketchy at night with a number of bars and available ladies but safe for getting out for a walk.
We will stay here again if in the area.

Good for airport arrival
We stayed in India room. It was a bad choice as it was so noisy all nite from the road. The room itself is really nice. However we had four nites and found the room was not cleaned or bins emptied not a major problem as we took rubbish down ourself. Would recommend for airport but need to use sky train to get anywhere else which is 20min walk. Helpful staff.

A trip to China in Bangkok
We stayed in the Chinatown room. It was absolutely stunning and comfortable, even though it might not have been properly cleaned - we found an empty water bottle under the bed.
The location is quite good - a 20-minute walk from Hua Mak skytrain station, it's going to get much better once a new MRT line is finished (the construction makes it difficult to reach some shops now).
When we return to Bangkok, we are surely going to try some other rooms. Great concept!
