It is what it is.
Stayed for 5 nights. The positives: Hot water supply was good and the linens (bedding towels) were clean and smelled good. The room was clean on arrival. The negatives: The mattress was unbelievably hard, my room was not cleaned once in 5 days (bedding, garbages emptied, new towels, etc), and the television was tiny for the room size. Beyond those things it was just OK. I paid for an updated (luxury lol) room and what I got was still pretty old and tired (ie. the sofa's fabric was torn). I've stayed in a couple of worse motels but this was definitely in the bottom 25% of places I've stayed.

Very unpleasant experience, pictures of property must be from one set up room. Room at best was nasty. Dirty on every level. No other rooms available in the area. Would never recommend or stay here again. I don’t write bad reviews and like to give something positive but sorry not this time.

When we checked in, we asked to pay cash. We were told that they don't accept cash at the hotel. So were forced to put it on credit card. When we got to the room, it was covered in dust and the room was full of flies. We spent much of our night trying to kill all of the flies. The bathroom looked newly renovated, which was nice, except the bathtub which was a jetted tub. It had mould and mildew all around the jets and the drain and one of the jets was completely missing. There was someone else's hair in the bathtub, and all over the bathroom floor. The fan in the bathroom was also incredibly loud. When I pulled back the sheets on my bed to get ready for bed, there was someone else's hair between the sheets. There was no dead bolt or chain lock on the door, we just had to trust that the door knob lock was enough to keep people out. But when checking out you're told to leave the keys in the room, so you know there are other keys out there which doesn't make you feel very safe. But maybe the worst part was that the restaurant attached to the hotel did karaoke night and was so loud it sounded like it was in our room. It didn't finish until after midnight, so getting my three year old to sleep wasn't a thing. All in all this hotel as a disaster and I would not recommend staying there to anyone!

More fancy than expected from a motel. The area is great as it's right on the marina, amazing place to watch the sunset and sunrise. The room seemed to be recently renovated since it looked a lot different than the decor the last time we stayed there a year ago. Definitely a better place to stay than Sault ste Marie when traveling across the country.

We were a late check in 10 pm. Called at 7pm to let them know and no issue. There is a buzzer for to call them when closed. The owner was right down and got me checked in under 5 minutes. This is an old hotel, but they have but time and care into fixing up the rooms. Really good attention from the owner. Pleasant surprise.
