When had an issue with our room and the response was prompt, and more than met our expectations. Riggo, the Manager, went above and beyond in taking care of us. It’s a lovely boutique hotel in a perfect location and staff work hard to ensure their guests are comfortsble. Will be back

Garland Del Rio was a magical place to stay! We took advantage of an evening hot tub for the 2 nights that we were there and were rewarded with wonderful jazz music from the restaurant next door! Decor was interesting; around every corner was something to marvel at!

Excellent hotel, has a lot of character and fits in with the feel of the town. Highly recommend for couples looking a cute, unique and beautiful place to stay.

The best things about the Garlands del Rio are the friendly, helpful staff and the location. We were initially very disappointed with our room as it was in desperate need of a make over. The bathroom was a large open room with no privacy, the cupboards were musty smelling, the drapes needed to be replaced and the door that led to a shared balcony didn't work properly. Noise from the street kept us awake. The manager, however, was quick to give us a much better room that was somewhat updated, with a private balcony overlooking the river. We enjoyed the location which is a few blocks away from the noise and bustle of the beach yet still within easy access to shops, restaurants and the malacon.

Everything was fantastic. We loved the location, central to everything. We had a room that overlooked the river and were able to listen to the jazz coming from the restaurant close by. Considering we were so close to the road, we heard virtually no 'city sounds' and looked out on greenery. The staff were very helpful and recommended a delicious restaurant for dinner.

A very enjoyable experience with friendly, helpful staff and an old Mexican look with a courtyard and river setting. Within walking distance of the Malecon.
